Professor Wolf has recently taught courses on European Economic Integration, The German Economy and the History of Money.

His research interests focus on European economic developments, with a particular focus on monetary developments. Current research projects include work on cultural determinants of intra-European migration; on currency boards in EU accession countries; and on the political economy of reform.


He has held positions at the Stern School of Business at NYU, the Elliott School at George Washington University and the Office of the Chief Economist of the World Bank, as well as visiting positions at Princeton, the Center for Economic Studies in Munich, and the International Monetary Fund.
