Bio

Donald McHenry is the Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. Ambassador McHenry was the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1979 to 1981, and Deputy U.S. Representative from 1977 to 1979. He has held a variety of positions in the U.S. Department of State as well as fellowships with the Brookings Institution and the Council on Foreign Relations. Ambassador McHenry received his M.A. from Southern Illinois University.
