After beginning as a Reference Librarian, she became Library Research Instruction Coordinator in 1992 and served as Interim Head, 2007-08. Her service to Georgetown has included serving on the Student Conduct Hearings Board (1992-1998) and in the Faculty Senate (2002-2005). Since 2003 she has been a co-creator of the tutorial “Joining the Conversation: Scholarly Research and Academic Integrity,” which integrates orientation to library research and services with positive discussion of academic integrity, and is required of first-year and transfer students. She has co-presented on this tutorial at conferences such as EDUCAUSE, She has also worked with the Carroll Fellows Initiative to deepen their undergraduate student research experience and with Writing Center tutors to develop them as research mentors.
