Harriet McNamee teaches Museum Education and Interpretation. Prior to joining Georgetown faculty, she was Curator of Education at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, where she oversaw the work of the Education department for 15 years, and taught art history courses at University of Maryland University College. Before that she was Program Coordinator for the Smithsonian Resident Associate Program, Director of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Director of the Asian Arts Center and Curator of the Collections at Towson University, and Research Assistant at The Japan Foundation.
Ms. McNamee has worked in museums and arts centers for many years and is committed to making museums institutions for public service through providing engaging programs and interpretive materials that help visitors make personal connections with works of art.
