Before joining Georgetown Faculty, I taught Ancient and Medieval Philosophy in the department of Philosophy at Saint-Joseph University, Beirut, where I was also the Director of the Centre Louis Pouzet s.j. d’étude des civilisations anciennes et médiévales.

I am also the editor of the Mélanges de l’Université Saint-Joseph (http://www.bo.usj.edu.lb/files/melanges.htm), one of the oldest Journals of “Oriental” studies, a multidisciplinary periodical which covers the Ancient and Medieval Near Eastern civilizations over a variety of fields ranging from Archeology to History, Epigraphy, Semitic studies, Philology, History of philosophy and science, Islamic studies, Literature etc.
