She has published articles on narratives of immigration and integration in France, Algerian cinema, and Caribbean literature. Her research interests, located at the crossroads between cultural studies and the analysis of literary and filmic texts, include colonial legacies and national discourses, and in particular the phantoms of the Algerian war, but also discourses about tastes, food consumption and table matters. Her book, "Fictions de l’intégration: du mot ‘beur’ à la politique de la mémoire", was published by L’Harmattan, Paris (2008). She is the co-editor of "Screening Integration: Recasting Maghrebi Immigration in Contemporary France" (University of Nebraska Press, 2011). Her current book project is entitled: "The Taste of Empire: Food exchanges and Table Matters between France and the Maghreb." Education
