Daniel L Blair
Department of Physics
Professor Blair's research interests reside at the interface of materials physics, chemical engineering and biology. Specifically, his field is described as Soft Matter. Soft matter is a young sub-field of condensed matter physics and uses the tools of engineering and biology to describe how complex liquids, such as foams, gels, pastes, polymers, and biological tissues flow and deform.
