Allison P. Koester

Dr. Koester is an expert on corporate taxation and financial reporting. She has published scholarly articles in the Journal of the American Taxation Association and Tax Notes and has been invited to present her research at more than thirty five academic institutions and conferences nationwide. Koester received a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Washington. Koester currently teaches the required financial reporting courses in the full-time MBA program at Georgetown University. Koester was recently featured in the Financial Times’ ‘Women in Business’ series and is the 2014 recipient of the McDonough School of Business Ronald L. Smith Distinguished Service Award. Prior to entering academia Dr. Koester was a senior tax associate at KPMG’s Washington National Tax office. She is a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia (inactive).
