Gender differences in bladder cancer risk factors
2006-2011 The purpose of this NIH-funded epidemiological study is to assess the roles of infections, environmental factors, and genetic susceptibility in a very large case-control study of bladder cancer, and to evaluate difference between males and females in their risk factor patterns. Over 3,000 cases and 6,000 matched controls are being recruited for this study, along with biological specimens and detailed questionnaires, constituting one of the largest bladder cancer studies in the world. |
