The article presents archive documents on the staging, in Florence, of two texts by Francesco Ringhieri (1721-1787), who was an olivetan monk and probably the most succesful author of tragedies of 18th-century Italy. Through documents and texts, the study explores the 'theatrical art' of Ringhieri. In appendix, the corpus operis of Ringhieri, and an abstract from one of his tragedies. |
