As  an  increasing  population  identifies  itself  as  cosmopolitan,  we  examine  whether  the   cosmopolitan  identity  involves  openness  and  adaptability  to  new  environments,  or  instead  favors   maintaining  a  global  lifestyle  that  persists  across  environments.
