Bio
Dr. Zsiga received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 1993, and joined the Georgetown Linguistics Department in 1994. She currently teaches courses in phonology and in articulatory and acoustic phonetics. Research interests include phonological theory, second language phonology, phonetics (especially articulatory), speech synthesis, and the phonology/phonetics interface. Before coming to Georgetown, Dr. Zsiga held positions as a visiting scholar at Cornell University, a research linguist at Eloquent Technology, Inc, a lecturer at Yale University, and a research assistant at Haskins Laboratories.
