Bio

Dr. Zabarah has been teaching Arabic since 1997 at local colleges and institutions. She joined our department full-time in 2002. She has also been involved in developing listening comprehension exams for several dialects for a local testing company. She is also interested in language instruction for heritage students. She is currently the department’s Director of Undergraduate Studies. She received her PhD and Master’s degrees in Arabic Language Literature and Linguistics from Georgetown University and her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Catholic University in DC.
