Phone202-687-5093 Fax202-687-2408 Location306L ICC BioAssistant Professor Yu, a native of China, received her undergraduate training in Chinese Literature in Taiwan, Republic of China, and earned her two Master's Degrees in Education and Chinese in the United States. Professor Yu started her teaching career at Georgetown University in 1976.
Professor Yu teaches both beginning and intermediate Chinese language courses in addition to serving as the department coordinator for these classes. She also teaches "Survey of Chinese Literary Genres" and "Advanced Oral Communication," both structured for senior level Georgetown students. In addition to her teaching duties, Professor Yu conducts Chinese language placement and proficiency tests. Professor Yu has dedicated most of her professional life to teaching at Georgetown University. Her efforts throughout the years have been richly rewarded by her students. She has been awarded honorary membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society, selected as one of Georgetown University's top ten professors by the Georgetown University Student Association, and consistently has received excellent student evaluations for all the courses she has taught at Georgetown University. |
