Department of German

Astrid Weigert has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department since the fall of 1999. She received her Ph.D. from this very department with a dissertation on gender and genre in Romanticism and Naturalism. She plans to continue her research on the aesthetic positions of women authors in the 19th century. She is committed to the Department's curriculum efforts. Her teaching focus has been on the Intermediate level courses and the various Business German courses.
