Bio

Stepen Minnig is a Principal with Deloitte Consulting. His focus is on serving the technology needs of clients in the Public Services market. Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Minnig worked for over twelve years at BearingPoint in its Public Sector Consulting practice. Among his achievements, he co-authored an article describing BearingPoint’s approach to providing third-party testing of ILEC compliance to the 1996 Telecommunications Act. Mr. Minnig was a member of the BearingPoint team that was awarded a patent for the methodology used in providing third-party testing, as described in this article. Prior to BearingPoint, Mr. Minnig worked for over seven years with Sprint International/Global One, where he built a professional services organization to supplement the company’s core telecom services. At Sprint International/Global One he also directed the data services product management organization with staff in the U.S., Germany and France. Mr. Minnig served as a senior consultant specializing in information technology at Arthur Young and Company, as well as a systems and telecommunications planner for The BDM Corporation. Mr. Minnig earned the MBA in Finance and MS in Operations Research degrees from Columbia University and the BA in Mathematical Sciences from Johns Hopkins.
