Bio
Richard Scott Moore is an Adjunct Faculty member who currently works in the US Army Center of Military History. He previously served in Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Partnership Strategy. Prior to joining the Department of Defense, he was a senior defense analyst specializing in stability operations. A Marine Corps officer from 1976 to 2001, he commanded units from platoon to battalion landing team and participated in combat, expeditionary, and intervention operations in Panama, the Balkans, Southwest Asia, the Far East, and Africa. His areas of interest are stabilization and reconstruction, peacekeeping, counterinsurgency, and international conflict resolution.
