My current research addresses the twin issues of Americanization and anti-Americanism in France placed with the historical context of Globalization. I am currently writing a book about the French obsession with America in the last decades of the 20th century. My most recent publications are: “What Do the French Think of Us? The Deteriorating Image of the United States, 2000-2004,” French Politics, Culture and Society, Vol. 22 (Fall 2004), 91-119; “Debating Americanization” which appeared in an anthology entitled Global America (2003) and a review of Victoria de Grazia's Irresistible Empire in the American Historical Review (February 2006).
