Bio
Paul Aisen is professor of neurology and medicine and director of the Memory Disorders Program at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is an expert on Alzheimer's disease.
Trained as a rheumatologist, his research interest focuses on inflammatory mechanisms in the brain, and the development of new treatment strategies for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease. He is currently directing a number of NIH-funded therapeutic trials.
