In the news
In the news- John J. DeGioia, Georgetown president, on the university's interreligious roots, dating back to Georgetown's founding:
"When Georgetown was first established, it was in a context in which … commitment to religious freedom was very pronounced. We became an institution committed to ensuring that freedom, and we were to be open to everyone. And so, we have a very diverse and rich student body that enables us to engage in a kind of dialogue that’s very, very important in our world today."
