Bio

Dr. Parada is an Associate Professor of the Business Policy Department at ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Georgetown University. He serves as Academic Co-Director and professor of the Global Executive MBA jointly offered by Georgetown University and ESADE.

He has been Visiting Professor at HEC School of Management in Paris and SDA Bocconi in Milano for several years. He has written articles, cases and book chapters in English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Portuguese and Catalan. He teaches International Business and Strategy in Executive Education programs, MBA and Undergraduate courses.

He taught for and collaborated with private companies from different sectors such as banking and insurance (Banco Santander, BBVA, Bankinter, Banesto, “la Caixa”, DKV Insurance, Ergo Group, AndBanc, BNB…), telecommunications (Telefónica, Telecom Italia…), consultancy and auditing (KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, …), Service companies (Endesa, Agbar, Union Fenosa, Carlson Wagonlit, Correos de España, ADIF…), industrial companies (Epson, Roland-DG, Arcelor, Roca, Pirelli, Altadis,), Food, Beverage & Agribusiness (Bunge, Bodegas Torres, The Eat Out Group) and pharmaceuticals-Chemicals (Sanofi-Aventis, Novartis, Bayer, Esteve, Almirall, Inibsa…), among others.

He also worked with entrepreneurs in Incubators in Catalonia and Andorra, and Enterprise Associations in Catalonia and Valencia. He taught for different management schools, such as the Indian Institute of Management from Bangalore (India), De Baak (Holland), Helsinki School of Management (Joko, Finland) or Tietoenator (Norway). Previously, he was a lecturer of Strategy at the Universidad Católica in Bolivia. Professor Parada worked at the cement industry in topics as mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and business diversification, and served for UN in the Ministry of Finance in the area of public debt.
