Professor Jain received his PhD in 1984 from the University of Florida, started his academic career at the Wharton School and then moved to Tulane University in 1991. He came to Georgetown in 2000. He has published numerous articles (mostly related to research in the stock market) in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Accounting Review, Journal of Business and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His work has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Newsweek and several other newspapers. He has also spent a summer each as a visiting scholar at INSEAD, France and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Washington, D.C. He has also taught at ITESM, Mexico and CEIBS, China.
His acclaimed book, "Buffett Beyond Value" provides a detailed look at Warren Buffett's investing strategies. It has been published by Wiley Inc. This book along with many other articles provides the background for a course he teaches at Georgetown.
