Bio

Nicola Zaniboni is a Visiting Instructor at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar. He joined SFS-Q in the summer of 2009. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and an M.A. in Economics from Princeton University where he is also about to receive his Ph.D. in Economics.

In 2002-2003 he worked for an economic research institute at Bocconi University. He has assisted the development of inflation forecasting models and carried out estimation of monetary policy rules for the Euro Area exploiting large data panels.

His research interests include international monetary economics and how globalization is changing the dynamics of inflation. He also studies firms’ price setting and its impact on the way monetary policy affects the economy. At SFS-Q, he teaches courses on the American Economy and Quantitative Methods. Before joining SFS-Qatar, Professor Zaniboni taught courses in statistics and econometrics, international finance and intermediate macroeconomics.
