Norean Sharpe joined Georgetown's McDonough School of Business in June, 2009. As the Senior Associate Dean and Director of the Undergraduate Program, she is responsible for creation of global programs; implementation of academic policies; development of partnerships with non-profit and for-profit organizations; continuous improvement of the undergraduate curriculum; management of academic advising and scheduling; design of strategic plan for the UG Program; and collaboration with Office of Advancement to fund new initiatives.

Her career spans more than 20 years as a faculty member, including several years at Bowdoin College and at Babson College. She has authored more than 30 articles in the areas of analytics, statistics education, and women in science and currently serves on the board of three non-profit organizations. Her recent textbook, coauthored with R. De Veaux and P. Velleman and entitled Business Statistics, in now used worldwide in both undergraduate and MBA programs.

Sharpe earned a B.A. in Mathematics and German from Mount Holyoke College, a M.S. in Biomathematics from the University of North Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
