Dr. Natalie J. Goldring is a Senior Fellow in the Center for Peace and Security Studies and an Adjunct Full Professor in the Security Studies Program in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Dr. Goldring serves on the advisory boards of Women In International Security and 20-20 Vision, and the editorial board of The Nonproliferation Review. She is also a member of the International Association of University Presidents/UN Commission on Disarmament Education, Conflict Resolution, and Peace, and is a former chair of the board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

Before coming to Georgetown, Dr. Goldring was Executive Director of the Program on Global Security and Disarmament at the University of Maryland. Previously, she had worked with non-governmental organizations for more than fifteen years, including serving as Deputy Director of the British American Security Information Council (BASIC) and as the founding director of BASIC's Project on Light Weapons.

Dr. Goldring has written extensively on conventional and nuclear weapons, the international arms trade, non-proliferation, and small arms and light weapons. She earned her PhD in political science from MIT, with a specialization in defense and arms control. She also holds a master’s degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wellesley College.
