Phone202-687-7791 Location232 St Mary's Hall BioProfessor Mastorovich joined the Health Systems Faculty in 1999 after a lengthy career in hospital operations in the INOVA Health System. Her last two positions in the system were Associate Administrator at the system flagship tertiary facility and the Chief Nurse Executive of the entire integrated health care system. In the latter role she was responsible for the redesign of the patient care delivery model for the entire enterprise. She brings this extensive operations experience into the classroom for her courses in organizational theory and human resource management. Professor Mastorovich also manages the experiential portion of the program, HESY 573 & 574, Managing Health Systems. This is a two semester course where the students spend two days per week in a host facility applying and integrating theoretical constructs in a health care setting. Professor Mastorovich is a past Wharton Fellow and is currently a Fellow in the Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Administration Programs. She also remains involved in direct operations through her consulting practice which specializes in organizational change and coaching of line managers. She has served as an expert on panels for the Hill-Rom corporation. Professor Mastorovich has also facilitated regional meetings of the Association of Operating Room Nurses. She was recently appointed to the editorial board of the journal of Critical Care Nursing Quarterly as a review for articles that reflect administrative content. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and Sigma Theta Tau.
