Dr. Ullman is Professor in the Department of Neuroscience,with secondary appointments in Neurology, Psychology and Linguistics. He and the members of his lab investigate the neural and psychological bases of language, and the relations between language, memory and motor functions. They examine both first and second language, using behavioral and neuroimaging tecniques (mainly EEG/ERPs and fMRI). He also investigates language and memory in developmental disorders (including developmental language and reading impairments, autism, Tourette syndrome, Williams syndrome and ADHD) and acquired brain diseases (including aphasia, amnesia, and Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases).
