Awarded the 20-year silver medal from Georgetown University, Myrtle McCulloch is an assistant professor in the Department of International Health at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. She teaches courses in Nutrition, in health and disease prevention, to nurses, pre med, health studies,and International Health students. She also teaches a course on the the Global Consequences of Food and Nutrient Insecurity . She has experience in nutrition in health and disease through all stages of life, and occasionally works as a clinical nutritionist in area hospitals. Other areas of interest include eating disorders, genetically modified foods, food safety at home, and food insecurity worldwide. Her overseas work in public health nutrition has been in Costa Rica, Calcutta, Hyderabad India. She grew up in Nairobi Kenya.
