Bio

Monica Maxwell-Paegle, is an Assistant Professor in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Intensive Program. Professor Maxwell-Paegle teaches courses to international students enrolled in degree programs at Georgetown University. One course is designed to prepare these students for academic writing assignments and the other provides an overview of American Literature. She also teaches an advanced elective that introduces EFL students to the philosophy of service learning and provides them with opportunities to volunteer with organizations on campus and in the city.
