The long term goals of my laboratory are 1) to identify molecular targets for the therapeutic attack of tumor cells and, 2) to design small molecules able to interfere with these targets. Current studies focus on the mode of action of a family of proteins whose prototypes are p300, the closely related protein CBP (p300/CBP), and the p300/CBP- associated factor P/CAF.
