Most recently, she has served as a visiting lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she co-taught a course with Dr. Ernest May on the importance of history in policy making. She has also held a postdoctoral fellowship in the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School. Previously, she served as a visiting Assistant Professor of History at Middlebury College.
She holds a PhD in history from Columbia University, a MaƮtrise and Licence in sociology from the University of Paris VIII and a BA in American studies from the University of Texas, Austin. She is currently working on a manuscript entitled Sacred Empire: Islam and U.S. Foreign Policy, 1821-1921, which focuses on how ideas about Islam influenced American foreign relations between the Greek War of Independence and the end of WWI. |
