Karen Kesten is the Program Director for the Acute and Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and Acute Care Nurse Practicioner graduate program and teaches complex problems in the undergraduate program. Prior to joining the faculty, Karen was the manager of the nursing education department a the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. Karen is certified as a critical care nurse (CCRN), progressive care nurse (PCCN) and clinical nurse specialist (CCNS) and is pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Maryland.
