Bio
Wayne Knoll is an Assistant Professor of English. He joined the faculty in 1972. His research and teaching interests include: Modern American literature, poetry, American writers abroad, Southern writers, Faulkner and T. S. Eliot. Dr. Knoll was awarded the Father Bunn Award as Distinguished Teacher of the Year by the graduating class of 2006. He was also one of five finalists for the Dorothy Brown Award as teacher of the year in 2006. The president of the university, President John DeGioia, appointed him to represent Georgetown to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) in 1983. He has served in that capacity to the present time.
