Bio
Karen Stohr joined Georgetown's philosophy department in 2002. Her main research area is ethics, with a focus on Aristotelian virtue ethics and Kantian ethics. She is also interested in bioethics, particularly in the Catholic tradition. Lately, she has been writing about the relationship between morality on the one hand and manners and civility on the other. Her book "On Manners" was published in November 2011.
Professor Stohr lives in suburban Maryland with her husband and two daughters.
