Bio
Dr. Graves received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and completed post-doctoral training at the University of Kentucky. She is an Assistant Professor of Oncology and in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program. Dr. Graves will lead 1 of 51 research projects approved for PCORI funding to help patients and those who care for them make better informed healthcare decisions. Dr. Graves will work closely with Nueva Vida (Washington DC) and three other community organizations to improve the quality of life of Latina breast cancer survivors and their caregivers. Dr. Graves is also working on a project funded by the National Cancer Institute (K07 Career Development award) to investigate ways to inform people about genetic testing for genetic changes related to small increases in cancer risk. She is interested in translational research and research that improves cancer survivorship.
