Bio

Professor Wade is a Professor of Strategy and Economics in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Professor Wade’s research interests include top management team issues, industry evolution, social movements, the technological evolution of standards, and the impact of inter- and intra-organizational personnel flows on organizational and industry level outcomes. His articles have been published in Administrative Science Quarterly, the Strategic Management Journal, the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, the Rand Journal of Economics, the Journal of Labor Economics and other outlets. He is on the editorial boards of Administrative Science Quarterly, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, and the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management. He also was a Senior Editor for Organization Science and served as the Division Chair of the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management. Prior to joining Georgetown, he taught at Rutgers, the University of Wisconsin and the University of Illinois. He has a BS from Rice University in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a design and field engineer in the Oilfield Services industry. He received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations) from the University of California at Berkeley.
