Aviad Haramati, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, as well as a Director of Education in the Departments of Physiology & Biophysics and Medicine. He is co-founder and co-director of Georgetown's Mini-Medical School program for the lay public. He is also Chair of the Committee on Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) and Integrative Medicine (IM) Curriculum. Dr. Haramati's areas of expertise include: cellular regulation of renal electrolyte transport during development; role of growth factors in the control of renal function; integration of cardiovascular-renal-endocrine mechanisms in regulating volume homeostasis.
