Bio:
Gary Bamossy is Visiting Professor of Marketing (2005-2012). Prior to coming to Georgetown, he was a chaired professor of Marketing at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam (1985-1999), and Professor of Marketing and Director of the Global Business Program at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah (1999-2005). He is co-author of Consumer Behaviour: A European Perspective (2009, 4th ed. Prentice Hall), and co-editor of Marketing in a Multi-Cultural World: Ethnicity, Nationalism and Cultural Identity (Sage, 1995).

Areas of Expertise:
Dr. Bamossy’s research and consulting focuses on the Global Diffusion of Material Culture, and he is an expert in the area of consumer behavior, sustainable consumption practices, and Green Marketing. He also works as an expert in the legal area of likelihood of confusion and secondary meaning with respect to trademark infringement cases.
