Dr. Wong has expertise in community-based research efforts targeting racial/ethnic and under-served populations (including immigrants and refugees as well as linguistic and sexual minorities) with a history of or are currently using alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) and engaging in HIV-related risk practices. His research focuses on HIV prevention strategies (inlcuding policy) and substance abuse in the US, Asia, Caribbean, and South Africa.
