Dr. Yearwood is a qualitative researcher who uses ethnographic and grounded theory methodology in her work. She completed an NINR funded study on the ‘Cultural meaning of parent-child communication behaviors’, a CMS funded study looking at EPSDT youth with mental health disorders who are transitioning to adult services and an O'Neill Institute funded study on Partnering with Latino Youth to Develop Health Messages. Future projects will focus on immigrant child and adolescent mental health.
