Teaches undergraduate psychiatric-mental health nursing. Is an ANCC certified advanced practice nurse in Child & Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Has been on the editorial board of the Journal of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing (JCAPN)since 1988. Is the editor for a column in JCAPN titled 'Culture Bound..'
Is a qualitative researcher whose research interests include child & adolescent mental health; health and mental health of immigrant Caribbean families and cultural diversity.
