Dieter Dettke

Courses: Politics of European Security (Fall 2002-present); US/European Relations (Fall 2009); Europe and Russia (Summer 2010).

Expert on German foreign, domestic and economic policy, European integration, European security issues and Transatlantic relations.

Studied at the universities of Bonn, Berlin and Strasbourg (France).

Fulbright scholar at the University of Washington.

Research Asssociate of the German Council on Foreign Relations and Assignments with the German Bundestag and the German Foreign Office.

US Representative and Executive Director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Washington DC from 1985 to 2006.
Transatlantic Fellow of the German Marshall Fund (2006)
Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (2006/07)
Fellow of the National Endowment for Democracy (2008/09)
