Bio

Prof. David J. Collins, S.J., is proud of having grown up "inside the beltway." He left the DC area to attend college and came back two decades later to take up his current position in the History Department at Georgetown University. His primary academic interests are late medieval religious culture, the cult of the saints, Renaissance humanism, and learned magic. Prof. Collins entered the Society of Jesus (the Jesuit Order) in 1987 and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1998.
