Department of Mathematics and Statistics

David Caraballo is an assistant professor of mathematics. He specializes in curvature flow, crystal growth, image analysis, image processing and geometric measure theory. Most of his work deals with complex interfaces, which arise frequently in materials science, in tumor growth and in image processing. He is especially interested in inter-disciplinary research involving these areas.
