Carolyn Gegor is assistant program director of the nationally ranked Nurse Midwifery Program at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. Between 2003 and 2005, she was a faculty member in the program. Before Georgetown, she served as assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology and director of the Division of Midwifery at the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine. She is an ACNM fellow and a co-author of the well-known book Varney’s Midwifery. In 2007, she was elected president of the American College of Nurse-Midwives Foundation.
