Bio

Bette Jacobs is a professor in the Department of Health Systems Administration at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies.

From 1999-2010, she served as the school's dean. During her term, she was responsible for impressive development in the school in a number of areas. In 2002, she oversaw a major renovation of St. Mary's Hall that transformed the university home for NHS students. In 2006, NHS opened the Discovery Center, a 3,000-square-foot facility that supports education and research among students and faculty. She also supported substantial growth in the school's research portfolio, the recruitment of high-profile scholars, and the establishment of four academic departments in Health Systems Administration, Human Science, International Health, and Nursing.
