Dr. Barnes is the chief of the Gynecology Oncology service at the Lombardi Cancer Center. He received his medical degree and training from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS. He joined the medical staff at Georgetown as a fellow in 1983 and became an attending physician in 1985. Dr. Barnes is involved with clinical research activities associated with the Gynecology Oncology Group. In addition, he is the co-chair for Georgetown Internal Review Board for clinical research. Dr. Barnes continues to publish and his work can be found in peer review journals.
