What Puts Youth at Risk for Cancer?
An interview with Lucile Adams-Campbell
October 25, 2009

At Drexel University, Lucile Adams-Campbell spent four years studying chemical engineering before switching fields and becoming a Ph.D. epidemiologist.  This quantitative background has informed her work ever since, and she brings a particularly fresh insight to the study of cancer in a research field normally dominated by MDs.  The author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Adams-Campbell has moved her research center from Howard University to Georgetown University, and she continues her important work in the nation's capitol that is also her hometown.  She is a recent inductee into the Institute of Medicine, and also the Washington, DC Hall of Fame.
