Hon. Kapil Sibal to Speak at Georgetown on Education in India

Honorable Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India

As India's Minister for Human Resource Development, Kapil Sibal oversees the country's education policy. Since assuming this role, Mr. Sibal has developed a comprehensive strategy to overhaul India's higher education system and has been a strong advocate for establishing partnerships with universities in the U.S. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Sibal served as Minister for Science and Technology. Mr. Sibal represented India at the annual meetings of the world economic forum in 2005 and 2009. He also led the Indian delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bali in December 2007.
