As the United States continues the debate over health care reform, Laura Anderko, the Robert and Kathleen Scanlon Chair in Values Based Health Care at the School of Nursing & Health Studies, makes the case for more investment in preventive health measures as a proactive means of keeping society well.  Anderko, who specializes in environmental health, specifically talks about efforts to keep communities and individuals healthy, as well as needed policy changes at the national level.
